John Eales joins Lexus
18/08/2011Businessman and Rugby World Cup-winning former Wallabies captain John Eales has joined Lexus as a brand ambassador.
John is the ambassador for the New Generation GS line, having also been involved in the marketing of the LF-Gh concept.
John has been just as successful off the field as he was on it, and has long admired Lexus for the way it conducts its business and its desire to exceed expectation.
"Lexus is a brand that makes a big statement. People feel proud to be involved, people feel proud to own the vehicles and I am certainly proud to be a part of the Lexus family here in Australia," John said.
Lexus Australia chief executive Tony Cramb said that Lexus looks for a certain type of character when selecting personalities to work with, and John Eales fits the bill perfectly.
"John always exuded strength, perseverance, integrity and respect on the playing field, and has continued to do so in very successful post-rugby career," said Mr Cramb.
"John Eales is a great fit for the Lexus brand, and we're excited to welcome him to the family."
Eales' international rugby union career spanned 86 test caps and included two World Cup victories.
He was the last man to captain a World Cup-winning Wallabies side and is Australia's most successful rugby captain, with 39 wins in 55 tests as captain.
