The Ultimate
Luxury Compact
Crossover

Making its debut at the 2014 Beijing International Auto Show, Lexus'
edgy new NX Luxury Compact Crossover is set to shake up the motoring
landscape. Born from the development concept of 'Premium Urban Sports
Gear', the all-new NX combines striking design with advanced technologies,
including a number of world and Lexus firsts.

The NX's availability in Australia, including possible drivetrains and
specifications, is yet to be confirmed but Lexus Australia Chief Executive
Sean Hanley said, "We believe NX would complement our existing SUV and
expansive Lexus hybrid range - in short, we are very eager to secure
the new model."

Innovation

  • Aggressive form meets class-leading function

The all-new NX is undeniably head-turning and at first glance appears to have been chiselled from a single piece of steel. Wide flared guards housing 17 or 18 inch wheels add to the dramatic and muscular stance of the vehicle. Innovative LED headlamps and separate daytime running lamps frame the spindle grille and make a dramatic statement.

  • An overriding sense of excitement

From the moment you enter the all-new NX your pulse starts to quicken, with the interior strongly evoking the feeling of "Premium Urban Sports Gear". There is no doubt you are in a high performance machine, while its intelligent construction maximises functionality. The NX builds on Lexus' unique display and operation concept, putting the driver firmly in control.

  • An abundance of space

As Lexus engineers laboured over every detail of the NX, interior space played a significant role in the cabin design with seating a major focus. Featuring the lowest hip point in the segment, the NX adds to the connection the driver feels to the vehicle and offers increased head room. As well, the NX boasts the longest luggage load length of its competitors.

  • Innovative on-board technology

The NX's performance credentials are matched by its innovative on-board technology, including a Lexus-first Wireless Charging Tray which enables you to charge portable devices, and the first application of a new Lexus Remote Touch Interface with a touch-pad. In addition, Panoramic View Monitor, a comprehensive Multi-Information Display, Head-Up Display, Blind Spot Monitor and Rear Cross Traffic Alert are just some of the many standard technological inclusions.

  • Designed for an urban lifestyle

Chief engineer Takeaki Kato said the NX was developed as a vehicle that suits an urban lifestyle.
"Much like high quality sports watches, bikes and fashion, the NX represents the ultimate in premium urban sports gear," he said.
"Throughout all development phases we were determined to approach the NX from the perspective of young, urban, luxury drivers."
