Powered by a 2.5 litre Quad Cam V6 engine, the IS 250C offers the versatility and enjoyment of open air driving with the proven performance of the Lexus IS line.

Sophisticated roof system

The electric powered metal hardtop roof opens in 20 seconds. The three-piece folding roof uses a technologically advanced array of 13 motors and 33 sensors to ensure smooth and silent operation. Luggage is protected by multiple sensors, which detect obstructions and will stop the roof from opening and closing to avoid damage. The glare-resistant instrument panel includes a visual display of the roof's open/closed status. It displays a warning if the roof isn't completely opened or closed, and when an object at the rear of the vehicle is too close to perform the opening and closing operation.

Road-hugging suspension system

Whether the roof is up or down, you'll enjoy the same velvet handling that's synonymous with Lexus. Front double-wishbone and rear multi-link suspension enhance the IS 250C's grip, as well as its stability, responsiveness and handling.

Transmission that knows your style

Artificial Intelligence Shift Control intuitively anticipates and selects the best gear to suit your driving style as well as the driving conditions. For superior climbing power on hills, it holds the correct gear for longer to prevent annoying and unnecessary downshifts. On steep descents it enhances engine braking by holding a lower gear, giving you greater control.

Engineered to engage

Touch the throttle and the high output, 2.5 litre V6 engine develops 153kW of power at 6,400rpm and 252Nm of torque at 4,800rpm, so that you get the response you need, when you need it. Dual Variable Valve Timing with intelligence combined with direct injection helps ensure the IS 250C delivers first-rate performance and fuel efficiency at 9.3 litres per 100km1.

Rigid body design and construction

It's a convertible, but not as you know it. To ensure the signature smooth Lexus ride is carried over to the convertible IS 250C, Lexus engineers completely redesigned the body structure of the IS 250 to suit the unique dynamics of a convertible. Ride comfort is ensured by additional under floor braces, which reduce vibration and improve handling stability.

Sequential automatic transmission with paddle shifters

Gear control is right at your fingertips with a six speed sequential automatic transmission and paddle shifters. Whether you're in normal or sequential shifting mode, you can select gears using the paddle shifters on the steering wheel, without taking your hands from the wheel.

Electric Power Steering

Unlike conventional power steering, the IS 250C's power steering uses electric energy. This means energy is consumed only when you turn the wheel, contributing to the vehicle's overall fuel economy.
