The IS 350 sedan is a luxury sedan with performance credentials that will not disappoint.
The IS 350 delivers the excitement of an all alloy quad-cam 24 valve 3.5 litre V6 with Dual Variable Valve Timing with Intelligence (VVT-i) and a breathtaking 233kW of power. Advanced D4-S direct and port fuel injection injects fuel into the ports and directly into the cylinders for greater power. Dual VVT-i constantly retunes the quad-cams, unlocking maximum power when you need it and maximum fuel economy when you don't. A sound amplifying engine resonator enhances the performance experience of the IS 350 and the end result is a vehicle that exceeds all expectations.
In an instant, the IS 350 becomes the vehicle you want it to be, allowing you to create a customised driving experience. With a simple twist of the Drive Mode Select dial on the centre console, you can totally retune the vehicle's personality and performance to your unique preference and the driving conditions. In ECO mode, the powertrain and Lexus Climate Control are optimised for maximum economy and an ECO meter is displayed on the dash.
In NORMAL mode, you'll experience smooth acceleration, the Lexus Climate Control system is reset for comfort and vehicle response is refined. Meanwhile, turn the dial to SPORT/SPORT S mode and the instrumentation display changes from blue to red and the throttle response is more direct.
The IS 350 is truly a vehicle for those who love performance. Lexus engineers have taken the 8-speed transmission from the racetrack-proven V8 IS F. With eight close-ratio gears, you'll enjoy silky smooth acceleration. For added control on hills, G AI-SHIFT control intelligently pre-selects a lower gear for faster response.
Shift into 'M' mode and the transmission performs like a manual, putting you entirely in control. Each manual downshift occurs in a mere 0.2 seconds, interspersed by a momentary throttle blip ensuring smoother, faster downshifts.
The advanced technology found in the IS 350 delivers a high level of control in a diverse range of driving conditions. In the IS 350 F Sport, this control extends to Variable Gear Ratio Steering (VGRS), which adjusts the steering gear ratio for increased precision and stability at higher speeds and while cornering. It also intelligently facilitates slow speed manoeuvres with fewer turns of the steering wheel, for example when performing a U-turn. VGRS offers the driver a greater connection with the vehicle and the road.
This feature is also found in the IS 350 Sports Luxury.
A vehicle that delivers the thrills of performance does not mean that comfort has to be sacrificed. Advanced Lexus technology ensures a supremely comfortable journey for the occupants of the IS 350.
Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS) adapts to changing road and driving conditions. On rougher road surfaces, Ruggedness-Sensing Control softens the suspension accordingly for greater comfort. Turn the Drive Mode Select to 'SPORT S+' mode and the damping force firms up for added control on smoother roads and around fast corners. This mode also controls the amount of Electric Power Steering (EPS) assist to achieve a sportier steering feel. SPORT S+ realises the full potential of the IS 350's dynamic performance, providing a highly charged driving experience that responds in an instant to the driver's steering input.
These features are also found in the IS 350 F Sport.
Lexus makes a significant investment to create vehicles that are not only incredible to drive but also feature the highest levels of safety. A combination of advanced technology and intelligent design in the IS 350, underpinned by the philosophy that prevention is the best form of protection, provide unprecedented levels of reassurance for both the driver and passengers alike.

A COMBINATION OF ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY AND INTELLIGENT DESIGN PROVIDE UNPRECEDENTED LEVELS OF REASSURANCE
The bonnet structure is not only sportier looking, but looks out for the safety of pedestrians. For the first time ever in a Lexus, a system that incorporates an Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is able to determine when a pedestrian or other moveable objects have collided with the vehicle based on signals from two pressure sensors in a polyethylene bladder within the front bumper.
If the system is activated, the bonnet pops up approximately 70mm to provide a deformation zone and help absorb collision impact, helping reduce the risk of pedestrian injury. In addition, an impact absorbing structure in the front end of the bonnet offers further pedestrian protection.
It begins with a package of 8 Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) airbags fitted as standard which provide comprehensive protection. There are dual stage front airbags, two front knee airbags, seat mounted side airbags for the driver and front passenger, and curtain shield airbags to help protect front passengers and those in the rear outer seat positions.
The Sports Luxury model has the additional protection of rear seat mounted side airbags, because your passengers should never have to take a back seat to safety. For added peace of mind, a rear occupant seatbelt reminder, standard across all models, alerts you if any occupant does not have their seatbelt securely buckled.
Hill starts can be a challenge for the most experienced of drivers, with the danger of rolling backwards into a car behind you as the foot is transferred from the brake to the accelerator. Lexus engineers have addressed this challenge with Hill-start Assist Control (HAC)2. Meanwhile, when parking the IS 350 greater confidence can be achieved thanks to the Rear View Camera (RVC)2 with Rear Guide Assist (RGA)2, which shows you what's behind the rear bumper.
When you're in traffic, your side mirrors don't give you the full picture of vehicles around you and it is these blind spots that create potentially dangerous situations. The IS 350 F Sport addresses this issue with a Blind Spot Monitor (BSM)2. When a vehicle is detected in a blind spot alongside you, the indicator in the mirror on that side illuminates, which is particularly helpful when you want to pull out or change lanes.
The IS 350 is far more than just a pretty face. It is also equipped with a range of intelligent functions to simplify your driving experience and boost your driving pleasure. Automatic High Beam (AHB)4 can sense oncoming traffic and intuitively dip the headlights for added safety. Rain sensing wipers activate automatically if rain is detected on the windscreen. They can even determine the heaviness of the rain and operate faster as the vehicle speed increases.
For more relaxed highway motoring, Radar Active Cruise Control (ACC)3 helps maintain a selectable preset distance between you and the traffic ahead.
The IS 350 Sports Luxury offers a number of advanced safety inclusions which offer even greater peace of mind during challenging driving conditions. A Pre-Collision safety System (PCS)3 takes action whenever it perceives a possible impending collision. Firstly you'll hear a buzzer and see a warning in the Multi-Information Display (MID) followed by the arming of the Pre-Collision Brake Assist to supplement your braking effort. Finally, if a collision is unavoidable, Pre-Collision Braking helps to reduce collision impact.
If, in the course of your journey, you appear to be straying from your lane, a Lane Departure Warning (LDW)2 system can judge your position, sound a buzzer and display a warning in the Multi-Information Display (MID).
The dynamic exterior of the IS 350 sets high expectations about what you can expect to find once inside and the luxurious interior does not disappoint.

Lexus' design language, L-finesse, puts people at the centre of its thinking so that everything is within easy reach for the driver, from essential switches located within the lower operation zone to the instrumentation neatly assembled in the upper display zone. Detailed information is available in a 7 inch colour multimedia screen located in the centre of the display zone. It displays radio settings, music data, album cover art, phone caller details and colour maps from the Satellite Navigation5 system.
A welcome addition to the IS 350 is the Lexus Remote Touch. Like a computer mouse, you can scroll through information then click to select what you need, from audio and climate control settings to plotting your route. Such a meticulously planned cabin allows for effortless control and for your focus to remain on the road.
You'd be forgiven for feeling reluctant to leave the refined environment of the IS 350 once you arrive at your destination. Leather accented seats set the luxurious scene while heated and ventilated front seats are standard for ultimate all-weather comfort. The Dual-zone Climate Control with Air Conditioning is a standard and very welcome inclusion, allowing you to set your comfort level at the touch of a finger whatever the weather conditions outside. Furthermore, eight way adjustments of the driver's and passenger seats are included for perfect posture. Start planning your road trips now.
After the ground-breaking creation of Lexus' LFA supercar, influences from this one-of-a-kind vehicle have been instilled in the IS 350 F Sport. This includes high technology Thin Film Transistor (TFT) instrumentation, lifted straight out of the LFA, which lets you customise the menu display to suit your unique preferences. Menus slide out on the left side of the central meter to display information including audio settings and trip data in your preferred configuration.
The race-inspired touches don't end there. The seating incorporates a snug recess which grips the body for greater lateral support, while high side bolsters counteract G forces to keep you secure on tight corners. Aluminium sports pedals and F Sport brushed aluminium scuff plates add sporting flair. The bespoke dimpled premium steering wheel with F Sport badging and shift knob complement the persona.
All the elements are in place in the IS 350 Sports Luxury. Performance that thrills, design that excites and luxury that pampers. It would be an oversight then not to indulge your auditory sense with a sound system so special that it is now the most advanced ever fitted to a Lexus. Introducing the new generation Mark Levinson audio system.
From the outset, the objective was to create high resolution sound reproduction within a 360 degree,
three-dimensional sonic space. You are surrounded by 15-speakers, which react instantly, switching from playing a high pitched snare drum to a soothing synthesizer tone, giving you a breathtaking sense of audio dimension. The surround speakers use 'Wide Dispersion' technology to radiate sound more uniformly from the speaker by implementing an acoustic lens, meaning you are totally enveloped in a blanket of sound for the ultimate surround sound experience.
The IS 350's dramatic form and sculpted curves are the result of countless hours spent by Lexus designers to create a vehicle that evokes feelings of excitement and overwhelming desire.

While the fluid, elegant lines of the IS 350 are very pleasing on the eye, they are also elusive to the wind at higher speeds with an aerodynamic body design which achieves a low 0.28 drag coefficient (Cd). Flowing curves across the bonnet and fenders also optimise airflow. Even the roof panels have been brazed together ensuring there are no gutters in the roofline. The sharp three-dimensional design of the front and rear bumpers also assist air flow. As air is drawn into the corners of the front bumper, it is then re-directed into the wheel arches, reducing wind turbulence.
All of this ensures reduced wind noise for a quieter cabin and improved control at higher speeds. In addition, less drag also means less fuel consumption1.
Every carefully considered element of the IS 350 builds upon its irresistibly fun, sporting feel. The alloy wheels provide a premium finish and signal that this is a vehicle for people who love to drive. The performance credentials of the IS 350 are further highlighted by a dual exhaust system, capped off by the gleam of chrome exhausts, which adds to the audio accompaniment
the IS 350 delivers.
The F Sport model takes some of its design cues from Lexus' extraordinary LFA. Distinctive 18 inch F Sport design alloy wheels, inspired by our unique supercar, add to the performance and looks. The exclusive
F Sport front bumper and grille enhance the IS 350 F Sport's already striking appearance while the choice of two colours exclusive to the F Sport, White Nova and Flame Blue, will ensure you'll always stand out from the crowd.
The exterior of the IS 350 Sports Luxury certainly lives up to its name with a blend of design features that are at once luxurious and sporty. Fitted with 18 inch five spoke design alloy wheels, each spoke features a strikingly dynamic profile. A Tilt and Slide Electric Glass Moonroof with Sun Shade allows you to bring the outside in, adding a new level of exhilaration to your journey.
