LEXUS PURSUES SMASH REPAIR PERFECTION
Lexus Australia has introduced an additional customer care program designed to give Lexus owners greater peace of mind in the event that their vehicle is damaged in an accident.The Lexus Approved Body Repairer program aims to ensure that vehicles are repaired to the highest possible factory-approved standard.
Lexus has appointed 35 of Australia's leading smash repair shops as its approved repairers and will provide them with specialist training for its vehicles.
The approved repairers have been given the Lexus seal of approval after a rigorous nation-wide survey of the smash repair industry.
"The Lexus motto is the 'relentless pursuit of perfection' and that's what we were looking for among the panel shops we visited," said Lexus Australia's Manager of Service and Parts, Bob Dawes.
Mr Dawes said the program would ensure Lexus owners receive quality service and peace of mind.
The approved repairers were chosen after Lexus consulted the smash repair industry body - the Australian Accident Repair Network - for recommendations and then painstakingly audited by reference to Lexus' standards every body shop on the short list.
Many of the repairers chosen have previously won awards for the standard of their repair work on other makes of prestige vehicle.
"We require our smash repairers to provide standards equal to the best in the world," said Bob Dawes.
Lexus has won a reputation for the industry-leading build quality of its cars, winning numerous J.D. Power and Associates surveys in the United States over the last decade.
The Lexus LS 430 topped JD Power's annual Initial Quality Study in both 2001 and 2002.
