GS450h SHINES IN ALL SEASONS
Lexus' new GS450h delivers high performance, as well as comfort, in any weather.GS450h has been designed with breakthrough technology that ensures the vehicle is prepared for all seasonal conditions.
Auto Headlamps turn on automatically if light conditions deteriorate, for example if thick cloud appears.
Lexus GS Line has quad headlamps with HID (High-Intensity Discharge) low beam lamps, which can follow the road, thanks to the Lexus Adaptive Front-lighting System (AFS).
GS450h also has front and rear fog lamps and heated exterior mirrors as standard equipment.
Smart Entry means there is no need to fumble for keys in the rain, because GS450h unlocks itself once it senses the key nearby and the door handle is clutched.
The front door windows have a water-repellent coating for improved side visibility.
"GS450h has everything covered. Whether it's pouring rain on icy roads, or in the middle of an Australian summer, GS450h provides the ultimate safety and comfort in luxury surrounds," said Scott Grant, divisional manager, Lexus Australia.
Should winter bring slippery conditions to the roads, GS450h is designed to cope, thanks to Lexus' breakthrough Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management (VDiM).
GS450h also has a standard dual-zone climate-controlled air conditioning with pollen filter and pollen removal functions, designed to optimise occupant comfort by quickly removing any pollen that may get inside the car.
"In spring, there is a marked increase in allergies, and GS450h's clean air filter reduces any pollen discomfort for passengers" said Scott Grant.
GS450h caters for harsh Australian summer conditions as well, with rear power sunshade and climate-controlled front seats that can cool the driver and passenger.
GS450h's front door windows, rear door windows and rear door quarter windows have UV-reducing green-tinted glass to improve cabin comfort and reduce air conditioner load.
In addition, the GS Line has easy-to-read, glare-resistant instruments.
When direct sunlight shines on the instruments, the electro-chromatic device (ECD) automatically compensates for the light reflected on the glass face of the panel, making the display much easier to read.
"GS450h has succeeded in reducing fuel consumption while increasing power and range," said Scott Grant.
"However it is the attention to this sort of fine detail that makes GS450h so outstanding.
"Rain or shine, this vehicle has all the technology to make the driving experience something special".
