LEXUS BREAKS ALL-TIME SALES RESULT
Lexus Australia has broken its all-time monthly sales record by selling 1106 vehicles for the month of October - a result which confirms its position as one of Australia's top three luxury marques.According to VFACTS figures released today, October's all-time record is 21 per cent higher than the previous record month of 916 vehicles, set in October 2006.
Lexus' IS and RX lines continued to top the sales charts, with 435 IS 250 and 499 RX models sold for the month - both all-time records.
October also saw the LS Line break its all-time record sales result by almost 38 per cent, selling 55 vehicles - 19 more than its nearest competitor.
The month also saw the continued sales success of Lexus' hybrid vehicles, with hybrid model sales breaking all-time records.
Lexus Australia chief executive John Roca explained that the sales result confirms Lexus' position as one of Australia's top-selling luxury vehicle marques.
"Lexus' October sales result demonstrates that we are one of the most popular luxury vehicles marques in Australia," Mr Roca said.
"From IS to LS, Lexus broke many of its all-time sales records in October.
"Our performance hybrid vehicles continued to sell in record numbers - limited only by the production quantity we receive.
"This is the first time Lexus sales have reached four figures - a milestone that we are very pleased to have reached and surpassed," Mr Roca said.
