LEXUS INTRODUCES PREMIUM REAR SEAT ENTERTAINMENT
Lexus Australia has introduced a new Premium Rear Seat Entertainment (RSE) unit for its RX range of vehicles – thoroughly tested for safety and ease of use.
The twin slim-line screens provide rear seat passengers with video, music and gaming entertainment options.
Each unit has an integrated side-loading DVD slot, USB port for connectivity with digital cameras and MP3 players, an SD card slot, and an AUX input to connect gaming consoles.
The entertainment units can be operated both independently and simultaneously with simple, easy-to-reach manual controls and a remote control.
The tablet-form units feature large eight-inch, full colour, high-resolution screens in WVGA (widescreen) format.
Sound can be fed through the infrared wireless headphones, which are foldable for easy storage.
Fitted neatly and securely to the back of the front seats, and made from materials matched to the interior of RX, the units are integrated into the vehicle with a premium look and feel.
Lexus has thoroughly tested the entertainment units – including crash test scenarios – to ensure a level of safety of all occupants in RX 350 and 450h.
Fitting the units to the seat, rather than headrest, allows the in-built active headrests in the front seats to operate unimpeded in the event of an accident.
Additionally, the units have been designed without sharp edges and with gently rounded corners to minimise the risk of harm to the rear seat passengers in the event of a vehicle collision.
The all-new Lexus Premium RSE units are available from all Lexus dealers.
