Lexus Australia has achieved its most successful first quarter on record with 2186 new luxury vehicle sales.
The result marks the first time Lexus has achieved more than 2000 sales in the first quarter and is 20.6 per cent up on the corresponding 2015 figure, indicating significant year-on-year growth.
Lexus Australia chief executive Peter McGregor said the marque's appealing new product and expanded ranges had played a key role in reaching the sales milestone.
"We are delighted to see such a strong response for our vehicle lines from both our valued existing guests and those we have recently welcomed to the brand," Mr McGregor said.
"The launch of nine new Lexus models over the past year has markedly broadened our offering in the market with new entry sedans and coupes that feature a highly advanced turbocharged engine, as well as outstanding new SUVs and high performance F vehicles."
Mr McGregor added that the record-breaking first quarter established a strong foundation for the marque to build on for the rest of 2016.
"We are dedicated to strong momentum throughout the year and continuing to build the Lexus brand by focusing on delivering an exemplary customer experience," he said.
