PERFORMANCE PERFORMANCE

The RX 350 drives with the poise of a sports sedan, but has the confident handling of a smaller vehicle.

Power and efficiency

Put your foot down and you'll discover that the RX 350's 3.5 litre V6 engine with Dual Variable Valve Timing with intelligence has mid-range engine torque where you need it. The RX 350 delivers 204kW of power at 6,200rpm and 346Nm of torque at 4,700rpm. Even with this exceptional level of power, the RX 350 delivers fuel spindle of 10.8 litres per 100km 1.

Active Torque Control All Wheel Drive

To improve fuel consumption, only the front wheels drive the vehicle under normal conditions. But as soon as you encounter a slippery road surface, Active Torque Control All Wheel Drive progressively feeds more power to the rear wheels, up to a 50/50 split, to make sure you stay in control. At the flick of a switch, you can set all four wheels to provide equal driving effort.

Speed-sensitive Electric Power Steering

The RX 350's road speed-sensitive Electric Power Steering (EPS) ensures no power is wasted by engaging only when it is required - for example, on turns. EPS forms part of the Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management system which helps correct oversteer and understeer situations to improve cornering stability.

Impressive suspension

The RX 350's trailing-arm type double-wishbone rear suspension system also adds to the vehicle's exceptional agility and control, while fully independent MacPherson strut front suspension further enhances handling and ride comfort.

Six speed automatic transmission

The six speed transmission allows the engine to run in a more efficient operating range for more of the time, ensuring crisp acceleration and contributing to lower fuel consumption. If you accelerate quickly, the transmission automatically skips intermediate gears and selects a lower gear for improved response.
