LEXUS GS PERFORMANCE

GS 300: TURBOCHARGED PERFORMANCE

GS 300: TURBOCHARGED PERFORMANCE

You can expect both excellent fuel economy and exhilarating driving performance in one irresistible package, thanks to the GS 300's 2.0L petrol engine offering direct injection and turbo-intercooled technology.

As one of the newest engines in the Lexus line-up, advanced features abound, including a twin-scroll turbo that minimises the lag traditionally associated with turbocharged vehicles.

Plus Lexus' newest variable valve timing system is fitted, allowing the engine to seamlessly switch from the traditional 'Otto' cycle to the more economical 'Atkinson' cycle to prioritise economy, allowing the engine to take a smaller 'breath' of air and fuel when you require less power.

GS 300h: A SUPREME BLEND OF HYBRID POWER AND EFFICIENCY

The rear wheel drive GS 300h features a 2.5 litre Atkinson cycle petrol engine with Lexus Hybrid Drive, which delivers an impressive 164kW of maximum combined power.

The petrol-electric drivetrain is both powerful and efficient and delivers notable combined fuel consumption of just 5.2 litres per 100km1 while emitting a low 121 grams17 of CO2, making the GS 300h the smart choice for those who want to reduce their impact on the environment whilst retaining V6-like performance.

In addition, D-4S direct injection technology provides a boost in power delivery and aids fuel economy.

GS 350: AN EXHILARATING V6 DRIVING EXPERIENCE

GS 350: AN EXHILARATING V6 DRIVING EXPERIENCE

A 3.5L V6 petrol engine with 232kW and an eight-speed sequential automatic transmission with paddle shift deliver a powerful, responsive drive.

The GS 350 features a sound amplifying resonator fitted to the air intake which, working together with the muffler, releases airflow noise at high engine rpm for an engine note that stirs the senses, reminiscent of the LFA Supercar.

GS 450h: A POWERFUL RESPONSIVE HYBRID DRIVE

A 3.5L V6 petrol engine works in unison with an electric motor and hybrid battery, otherwise known as the renowned Lexus Hybrid Drive, to deliver an impressive 254kW of power.

By having two power sources working together, additional power is available when required or the drain is reduced on both power sources, saving energy and offering superior fuel economy.

Add a constantly variable transmission with paddle shift to the mix and get ready to experience a powerful, responsive drive.

PERSONALISE YOUR DRIVE MODE

PERSONALISE YOUR DRIVE MODE

Customise the GS to your driving style and the road conditions with Drive Mode Select, which allows you to choose from up to five styles of performance.
NORMAL, as you'd expect, is for normal driving conditions.
Should you desire a more efficient drive, ECO mode controls throttle/engine response and air conditioning.
When the mood takes you, SPORT drive mode provides more aggressive powertrain control with more immediate throttle response.
In the F Sport and Sports Luxury variants, SPORT+ drive mode goes further by adjusting suspension, steering and electronic responses while the recently added CUSTOMISE mode allows you to combine various elements of each drive mode to create one all of your own.

A MORE CONNECTED RESPONSIVE DRIVE

A MORE CONNECTED RESPONSIVE DRIVE

Without needing to remove your hands from the steering wheel, experience a heightened level of control and enjoy a more connected, sporty and responsive drive via advanced transmissions.

Standard on GS 300 and 350 models, eight speed sequential shift transmissions with paddle shifters allow for rapid gear changes with up-shifts in as little as 0.3 of a second and rev-matched blipping downshifts in as little as 0.2 of a second.

Hybrid GS models don't miss out on the fun with programmed gear ratios available via sequential and paddle shifting in manual mode, while a seamless drive is experienced in normal mode devoid of any of the traditional shift shock associated with gear changes.

ALL-SPEED RADAR ACTIVE CRUISE CONTROL

ALL-SPEED RADAR ACTIVE CRUISE CONTROL

All-speed Radar Active Cruise Control (ACC)2 uses a milliwave radar to monitor vehicles ahead and adjusts acceleration to match their speed.

All-speed ACC can even use the brakes to slow the vehicle down, even to a standstill.

When the vehicle ahead leaves your lane, ACC will smoothly increase the acceleration to resume the speed you had previously set.

F SPORT & SPORTS LUXURY

DYNAMIC REAR STEERING

DYNAMIC REAR STEERING

Fitted exclusively to GS 350 / 450h F Sport models, Dynamic Rear Steering (DRS) actively adjusts the steering angle of the rear wheels in order to achieve optimal vehicle handling, stability and a high measure of responsiveness in line with what the driver expects.

At low speed, DRS enhances manoeuvrability and reduces steering effort by reducing the turning circle by up to half a metre.

At medium speeds steering feels more responsive and intuitive while at high speeds vehicle posture is increasing stable, providing confidence and peace of mind.

ADAPTIVE PERFORMANCE AND HANDLING

ADAPTIVE PERFORMANCE AND HANDLING

The already superior performance and handling credentials of the GS are given a boost in the GS F Sport and Sports Luxury thanks to the inclusion of Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS).

When driving on rough road surfaces, AVS helps maintain a comfortable ride by softening shock absorber response, while during cornering it helps maintain handling stability through a flatter ride by firming suspension response.

In SPORT+ mode AVS offers a firmer level of control for dynamic handling performance and an adrenaline-charged driving experience.
