LEXUS RX PERFORMANCE

LEXUS RX PERFORMANCE

Pulse-raising performance is assured in the RX, whether you select the turbocharged RX 300, the 3.5L V6 RX 350, or the technologically advanced RX 450h with Lexus Hybrid Drive.

LEXUS START & STOP SYSTEM

LEXUS START & STOP SYSTEM

The turbocharged RX 300 features a Stop & Start system, which will automatically stop the engine when the vehicle has temporarily come to a standstill.

This helps to conserve fuel and also reduce emissions.

Once you release the brake pedal, the engine automatically restarts without a moment's delay and you are ready to resume your journey.

PERSONALISE YOUR DRIVE

PERSONALISE YOUR DRIVE

Customise the RX to your driving style and the road conditions with Drive Mode Select System, which allows you to choose from three styles of performance.

NORMAL, as you'd expect, is for normal driving conditions.

Should you desire a more efficient drive, ECO mode controls throttle/engine response for better fuel economy.

When the mood takes you, SPORT drive mode provides a more aggressive powertrain control with more immediate throttle and steering response.

RX 300: A TURBOCHARGED PERFORMANCE PACKAGE

RX 300: A TURBOCHARGED PERFORMANCE PACKAGE

You can expect both excellent fuel economy and exhilarating driving performance in one irresistible package, thanks to the RX 300's 2.0L petrol engine offering direct injection and turbo-intercooled technology.  The engine boasts advanced features, including a twin-scroll turbo that minimises the lag traditionally associated with turbocharged vehicles.  Balance is achieved through the engine-stop function which can switch off the engine when stopped to conserve fuel and reduce emissions, ready to spring back to life when you release the brakes.
The RX 300 is also paired with a six speed automatic transmission with sequential, providing manual-like shifting when desired.

DIRECT INJECTION RESPONSE

DIRECT INJECTION RESPONSE

The RX 350's V6 3.5L petrol engine features direct-injection, offering increased power and even faster response thanks to the meticulous craftsmanship of the Lexus 'Takumi' engineers.

The engine also now features the variable valve timing system, allowing the engine to seamlessly switch from the traditional 'Otto' cycle to the more economical 'Atkinson' cycle to prioritise economy, allowing the engine to take a smaller 'breath' of air and fuel when you require less power.

ALL FOUR GRIP

ALL FOUR GRIP

Both the RX 350 and RX 450h and their 7-seat variants provide the latest All Wheel Drive (AWD) systems for ideal grip levels in a variety of situations like cornering in the wet.

Each features 'part-time' operation, meaning you get the fuel economy of a two wheel drive during normal cruising, and the grip of AWD whenever needed.

POWERFUL LEXUS HYBRID DRIVE

POWERFUL LEXUS HYBRID DRIVE

The RX 450h & 450hL feature the state-of-the-art Lexus Hybrid Drive system.  This innovative power source combines an improved 3.5 litre V6 Atkinson-cycle petrol engine with electric motors resulting in brilliant performance, incredible fuel efficiency and low CO2 emissions.

The Lexus Hybrid Drive is blissfully quiet during cruising as the two systems work together. Plus additional smoothness is provided by the Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) that provides near-infinite gear ratios.

Put simply, you'll feel the acceleration but not the gear changes. The combination results in an exceptionally smooth, exceptionally rewarding driving experience.

AMPLIFY YOUR EXPERIENCE

AMPLIFY YOUR EXPERIENCE

Key to every true driving experience is sound, whether it be whisper quiet silence during highway driving, or the growl of the engine during enthusiastic driving.

RX 350 and 450h Sport grades have the unique ability to simultaneously provide both experiences via their Sound Amplifying Resonator.

Positioned along the air intake, this resonator responds to engine load releasing a rush of intake noise when you accelerate hard, a welcome accompaniment to spirited driving.

NEXT LEVEL PERFORMANCE AND HANDLING

NEXT LEVEL PERFORMANCE AND HANDLING

The already superior performance and handling credentials of the RX are given a boost in the RX F Sport and Sports Luxury thanks to the inclusion of Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS) and SPORT+ drive mode.

When driving on rough road surfaces, AVS helps maintain a comfortable ride by softening shock absorber response, while during cornering it helps maintain handling stability through a flatter ride by firming suspension response.

In SPORT+ mode AVS offers a firmer level of control for dynamic handling performance and an adrenaline-charged driving experience.
