Landmark by Lexus at the Lexus Melbourne Cup

How Lexus made amazing

Lexus delivered an experiential masterpiece for visitors to this year’s Melbourne Cup Carnival. By collaborating with some of Australia’s most creative minds, Lexus combined world-class design with a unique dining and hospitality experience for guests at Landmark.

Here’s what it takes to create an unforgettable event to match the race that stops the nation.

25,000 canapes were made during Lexus Melbourne Cup
10,000 gumnuts were suspended from the ceiling of Landmark
1km of linen was used to create Koichi Takada's installation

A multi-sensory experience

Internationally-recognised artist, designer and advocate for sustainable living, Joost Bakker brought a stunning floral installation to Campbell Cove in Circular Quay, Sydney. The immersive experience in the iconic harbour city was combined with the beautiful Lexus LC coupe. The installation provided a glimpse of the design and colour at 2019's Landmark by Lexus experience at the Lexus Melbourne Cup.

A culinary masterpiece

Lexus Ambassador and world-renowned chef Ben Shewry brought a taste of this year’s Lexus Melbourne Cup experience to the Gold Coast when the Lexus Melbourne Cup visited the beach city. Ben and his Attica Restaurant team served a unique canapé, Chewry Carrots, inspired by the food theme from the Lexus Melbourne Cup experience.

A feast for the ears

The excitement and energy of Lexus' Melbourne Cup experience was on display in July, with 5 entertainers playing a live performance amplified through the powerful, custom-made Mark Levinson speakers within the Lexus range. The home of the Lexus Melbourne Cup, Flemington, was the stage for the performance by DJ, Ben Downing, Drummer, Samuel Gazis and Horn Players, The Players Club.

We're traveling the country curating experiences that give Australians a taste of the craft, care and thought that goes into The Lexus Melbourne Cup. Scott Thompson, CEO, Lexus Australia
